Do you find yourself staring in the mirror after a shower and wondering why one of your breasts is bigger than the other? According to Dr Anthony Tang, our breast oncoplastic surgeon at The Breast Clinic, breast asymmetry is very common and affects more women than you think!
There are a few reasons why a woman’s breasts can change in size and this includes, puberty or hormonal changes. If you have always had breasts that are not identical, it does not mean something is wrong with you! Just like your eyes, ears and feet, they can be different in size and shape.
Breast asymmetry is a common trait for most women, and often it is not a casue for concern. However, if the size of your breasts change or the density variation becomes larger over time, these changes could indicate something is wrong and this warrants medical attention!
